Man Sitting Outside Store Firebombed

It occurred when a man in his late 20s threw a Molotov cocktail at the victim while he was outside El Paisano Ranch Market in the 200 block of West Pacific Coast Highway, said Long Beach police Sgt. Aaron Eaton.

The video shows a ball of fire as a man is seen running from the scene.

At the moment the bottle hits the ground, the fire explodes, barely missing a mother with a baby in a stroller.

Man Stabbed in Fight with Two Women on Train

The man in his early 20s was on the southbound train heading into the Firestone station about 7:20 p.m. Sunday when he became involved in a physical altercation with the two women, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said.

Detectives say the man was “cut and stabbed” by the two women–one in her early 20s, the other in her early 50s–as they came into the station at 8615 Graham Ave.

Mail Carrier Robbed of 3,500 Pieces of Mail

The men tried to zip-tie the victim but ended up using duct tape instead, according to police.

The men then made off with the mail, leaving the carrier in his truck.

The suspects, described as three males between 18 and 20 years old, took off in a red Ford Mustang with tinted windows and possibly a pinstripe on the side, police said.

Mother Tries to Drown Son in Pool: “You have to go. This is the end of the world.”

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies said they responded to the Monte Vista Apartments in the 2500 block of Olive Drive at 7:30 p.m. Thursday after receiving a call that a woman was attempting to hold her son’s head underwater in the community pool.

Bystanders jumped in to rescue the boy, said Deputy Guillermina Saldaña. They told TV reporters they heard the woman yelling at her son, “You have to go. This is the end of the world.”

Bloody Note on Wall near Murder-Attempted Suicide

KTLA News showed video of the note, which consisted of several large letters written in red on the side of a wall next to where both were found. The exact message could not be made out, but KTLA said the police believe it was written in blood and consider it evidence in the case.

The man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. The girl, 9, had fatal cuts to her upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
