UPDATE: 6 Dead, 3 Wounded, Gunman AT LARGE in Pennsburg Area Found Dead

Bradley William Stone, a former Marine reservist, had been on the run since Monday’s slayings shook small communities north of Philadelphia.

His body was found in a wooded area about 1/2 mile from his home in Pennsburg, said Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman. It was not immediately clear how long the remains had been there.

Although a final report from the coroner is pending, Stone appears to have died from self-inflicted cutting wounds, in the center of his body, according to Ferman.

Early Monday morning, a hangup call to 911 first tipped off police to the bloodshed, directing them to Lansdale, 28 miles northwest of Philadelphia.

When police arrived, they found two slain women: Stone’s former mother-in-law and former grandmother-in-law, Ferman said.

A short time later, a neighbor of Stone’s ex-wife called 911, the prosecutor explained. Police went to an apartment in Lower Salford and found 33-year-old Nicole Stone dead.

“I heard three or four gunshots and I heard the kids yelling, saying, ‘Mommy, no. No, mommy, no.’ And he just said, ‘Let’s go. We gotta go,'” a neighbor who did not want to be identified told CNN affiliate WFMZ. “I heard him say, ‘Let’s go. We gotta get in the car.'”

“They didn’t have any coats on or anything,” the neighbor said. “They just had their pajamas on, and he just said, ‘We gotta go.’ He was like, ‘She’s hurt. She’s hurt pretty bad. We have to leave.’ And just got in the car and sped off.”

But Stone didn’t harm his two daughters, who were living with his former wife. At about 5:30 a.m., he brought them to a neighbor’s residence in Pennsburg, according to Ferman.

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office said police are looking for 35-year-old Bradley William Stone, of Pennsburg, in the killings. Three others were seriously wounded, officials said.

All of the victims have a “familial relationship” to Stone, prosecutors said. The victims were not identified further.

The hunt for Stone has moved to Pennsburg after a siege in Souderton ended without taking a suspect into custody.

Montgomery County court records also show Stone had been entangled in protracted divorce proceedings with his wife, Nicole A. Stone, since early 2009. The divorce was finalized in December 2012. Less than two weeks ago, he filed an emergency motion for custody.

Cop Gone Bad: Just-Resigned Cop Kills Ex-Girlfriend, Wounds Her Teen Daughter

Authorities identified 32-year-old Stephen Rozniakowski, an officer with the Colwyn Borough Police Department, as the gunman in the deadly shooting that occurred around 9:30 p.m. Monday in a home on the 600 block of Glenfield Avenue in Glenolden.

Neighbors identified the woman killed as Valerie Morrow. The second shooting victim, identified by neighbors as Morrow’s teenage daughter, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators said Rozniakowski dated Morrow years ago, but the woman only recently filed a protection from abuse order against him.

Initial reports indicate another police officer, who was off-duty at the time, was in the home when the suspect started firing. The off-duty cop shot Rozniakowski, who was taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center, according to officials. His condition is unknown.

Before the fatal shooting, Rozniakowski called the Colwyn Borough Police Department to announce his resignation, investigators said.

NBC10 Investigator Harry Hairston put a spotlight on Rozniakowski earlier this year when the officer was placed on “administrative leave” after his former fiancee filed a protection from abuse order against him.

Plymouth Township Police arrested Rozniakowski and charged him with 25 counts of stalking and 50 counts of harassment for allegedly contacting his former fiancee by phone and text repeatedly.

“You see that, that’s death”: Man Kills Mother with Gun, Knife, Bow and Arrow

When the deputy arrived, the neighbors said some people had argued next door, where the deputy found Gloria Watkins dead and Watkins wielding a large knife, according to the arrest report. Watkins put down the knife but officers had to use a stun gun after he resisted handcuffing, the report said.

Watkins pointed to his mother and said, “You see that, that’s death,” the arrest report stated. Watkins said he killed his mother because she was going to kill him first, that he shot her in the head three times, stabbed her with a knife and shot her with a bow and arrow, the report said.

Watkins also said he killed his mother because she stole his diamonds and gave his father cancer, according to the report.

UPDATE: Man Shoots Woman, Kills Self at Chicago Nordstrom’s

Now it’s murder-suicide.

Nordstrom shooting victim dies day after her birthday. Chicago Tribune, 11/30/2014.

[Nadia] Ezaldein’s family said she and her relatives had been tormented by the gunman, the victim’s ex-boyfriend, who sought her out Friday night before shooting her in the head and neck area about 8:30 p.m.

Ezaldein [22] began dating [Marcus] Dee [31] in August 2012 after meeting him through her older sister’s roommate, they said. Dee physically abused and beat the woman throughout the relationship, and in December 2013, threatened her by inserting a handgun into her mouth, the victim’s family said. The incident resulted in a hospital visit and the victim ending the relationship.

In the year since, Dee had harassed both the woman and her family members by making threatening calls to her father and siblings, family members said. The victim changed her number three times as a result, they said.

Ezaldein also tried to request an order of protection but backed out of the request when Dee threatened to kill himself if she went through with it, family members said. Relatives said the woman was also hesitant to report abuse or harassment because Dee’s parents were police officers.

“She thought his parents could cover it up,” a sister said.

Law enforcement sources said Dee’s parents are both Chicago police officers.

UPDATES: Man Beheads Woman, Throws Self in Front of Train: Murder-Suicide

UPDATES:

Patricia Ward of Farmingdale was a 28-year veteran faculty member who taught language arts, said Patrick Calabria, vice president of institutional advancement at the college.

“We are in shock,” he told The Post. “The staff in her department is teary-eyed. We are providing counseling to the staff who need it. It’s a very sad day. A lot of people are taking it very hard.”

Ward was beheaded by her son, a source said. He dragged her body out of the Farmingdale apartment and into the street where he kicked her severed head about 20 feet, Nassau County cops and witnesses said.

He then jumped in front of an LIRR train, his body was found about a mile from the murder scene, cops said.

Some of the horrified neighbors initially thought the headless body was a Halloween prank, only finding out it was real when they tried to lift the lifeless body, witnesses said.

The body of the female victim, wearing only a bra and pants, was lying on one side of the street and her head was on the other, said witness Jack Imperial, 41, of Briarwood, Queens, who was taking a taxi to a meeting when he came across the grisly scene.

“The body’s feet were at the curb, the shoulders were at the middle of the street. The head was across the street,” said Imperial. “I’ve seen some gruesome stuff in my years of living … but nothing like this. I didn’t expect to see something like this, especially not out here.”

Just 20 minutes after finding the corpse, MTA police confirmed a man in his 30s, identified by law enforcement sources as possibly the woman’s son, stepped in front of a Ronkonkoma-bound Long Island Rail Road train near the Clinton St. crossing.

The woman’s head may have been kicked across the street after the murder, a police source said.

It was not immediately clear if the killing occurred outside or in the apartment building. The identities of the dead man and woman were not immediately released.

Nick Gordon, who said he lived across the hall from the woman, said she moved in a few months ago and had a small white dog.

He speculated that the murder occurred inside the building. “When I came out the door, I saw the blood on the tile. It was all over, as if someone could’ve been pulling a body. You could see the smears going down the stairs.”

Man Beats 3-Year-Old Girl to Death over Soiled Pants

Cops found the dying girl after a 911 caller reported bloodcurdling screams echoing from the apartment in a city homeless shelter at 38 Cooper St. shortly before 4 p.m., cops said.

…Jeida Torres, 3, died at Wyckoff Hospital after her mother’s enraged boyfriend “punched and choked” the tiny child — who suffered injuries to her head and body, sources said.

“She either pooped her pants or peed on herself, and he got agitated,” a source said.

Suspect Kelsey Smith, who fled the scene and left the mortally injured child behind with her battered big brother, has a rap sheet with with 14 prior arrests dating to 2008, cop sources said.

Jeida’s 5-year-old brother, Andrew, was also beaten black and blue by Smith, 20, although a police source said the boy’s injuries were possibly inflicted before Saturday.

Neighbor Marilyn Cruz said the afternoon killing capped two solid weeks of fighting and violence inside the apartment.

Smith was busted just across the Queens border after the NYPD received a tip on the fugitive’s whereabouts. Cop sources said he tried to slash himself in a failed suicide try.

[Mother of children Kimberly] Torres — who arrived at the location 30 minutes after the 911 call — told police she left Smith alone with her two kids when she went to work Saturday.

The dead girl’s grandfather broke down completely after he learned of little Jeida’s fate, and his daughter sobbed relentlessly before police brought her to the hospital.

Battered Andrew Torres, who was placed in a police car for the trip to Wyckoff, was in stable condition with visible bruises to his face and upper body.

“Papa! Papa!” the terrified boy shouted at his grandfather, who had just come downstairs from the apartment where his granddaughter’s body was found.

The little girl was already motionless when EMTs rushed her outside in a desperate if vain effort to save her life.

“I saw the paramedics run out with little girl wrapped in a blanket,” said Best. “Her hands were just hanging out … just limp.”

10-Year-Old Boy Punches 90-Year-Old Woman to Death

The boy, from Damascus Township, was charged as an adult. Police say he punched Helen Novak of Tyler Hill numerous times in the throat on Saturday, placing a cane on her neck at first.

According to a press release by Wayne County District Attorney Janine Edwards, the boy went to visit his grandfather, Anthony Virbitsky, who lives at 349 Skylake Road in Tyler Hill. Virbitsky is the caretaker for Novak.

At about 3:20 on Saturday, Martha Virbitsky went to the state police barracks in Honesdale with her son and reported that her son told her that he had gone into Novak’s room at his grandfather’s home and Novak yelled at him, according to the DA’s press release.

Martha Virbitsky told police that her son told her that he got mad, lost his temper and grabbed a cane and put it on Novak’s throat at his grandfather’s home earlier in the day.

State trooper John Decker then met with the boy and Martha Virbitsky and agreed to sit down with them to discuss Novak’s death. Decker mirandized the boy and reviewed his rights with him and Martha Virbitsky.

The affidavit states that the boy told Decker that he pulled Novak down on the bed and held a cane on her throat and then punched her numerous times. The boy then went to his grandfather and told him that Novak was bleeding from her mouth.

Anthony Virbitsky went to check on Novak and said she was OK. Virbitsky then asked the boy if he had done something to Novak and the boy said “No,” according to the DA’s office.

Anthony Virbitsky then went back to Novak around 11 a.m., found her unresponsive and called 911.

Anthony Virbitsky also stated that after finding Novak unresponsive that he asked the boy again if he had done something to Novak and this time the boy told his grandfather that he had punched Novak and put a cane on her throat.
